Segment mould engineering

Moulds built around your ring design

Fenghe designs and manufactures shield segment moulds around the customer's ring geometry, segment division and plant layout.

Custom ring diameter
2–27 m
Mould weight
3–20 t
Minimum order
1 set

What we need to scope a mould

  • Ring outer and inner diameter, ring width and segment division
  • Segment drawings or a reference ring design
  • Plant layout, transfer method and lifting interfaces
  • Number of sets and target delivery window

Automated-line systems

One line, from mould handling to inspection

Transfer, power, curing, robots and inspection equipment are configured around your plant layout and presented as components of a single segment line.

  • Transfer systems

Ferry car, mother-daughter trolley and heavy-duty AGV options that move moulds between stations.

  • Power system

Power equipment sized to the line, with 80 to 120 m options.

  • Vibration isolation and curing doors

Station doors and vibration isolation arranged to your line layout.

  • Placing and feeding equipment

Placing and feeding stations matched to your mould and plant flow.

  • Temperature and central controls

Control equipment for temperature and central coordination of the line.

  • Monitoring

Station monitoring so operators can follow line status.

How a segment moves through the line

  1. Step 01

    Mould preparation

Robots open and close the mould, clean it and spray it before the next cycle.

  2. Step 02

    Placing and feeding

Embedded parts are handled and material is placed and fed to the mould.

  3. Step 03

    Vibration and curing

Isolated vibration stations and curing doors, with temperature and central control.

  4. Step 04

    Demoulding

Mould covers are lifted and finished segments are demoulded.

  5. Step 05

    Inspection

Segments are tested for bending, impermeability, pull-out and ring assembly.

Material handling and robotics

Move heavy moulds and automate repeat mould-side tasks

Trolleys and AGVs carry loaded moulds between positions, while the intelligent robot takes over the repeated handling and surface work around each mould.

Intelligent robot tasks

  • Mould opening and closing
  • Mould cleaning
  • Release agent spraying
  • Surface finishing

Project collaboration

From first drawing to dispatch

A clear sequence for overseas contractors and precast plant planners, so your team knows what to send and what to expect at each stage.

  1. Step 01

    Requirement review

Share ring diameter, segment drawings, plant plan and target output with our engineers.

  2. Step 02

    Technical proposal

We match mould, transfer, robot and inspection scope to your plant layout.

  3. Step 03

    Quotation and scope

Quantities, minimum orders, size options and the delivery timeline are set out in writing.

  4. Step 04

    Manufacturing

Production in the Yangzhou workshop using CNC machining, laser cutting and assembly bays.

  5. Step 05

    Inspection and dispatch

Equipment checks and export documentation are prepared with your logistics team.
